In supporting the teaching and learning process in the political science program contained laboratory office Political Science (lapora), with an area of 24 m2. In the LAB space has been provided to support activities such as computer facilities, cabinets Archives, Discussion Room, Living Room, Toilet, and
Political Science Laboratory functioned to support the learning process of students through practicum in the form of discussions, research, community service and training programs that increase student hardskill and soft skills.
This laboratory facility supported by the availability of facilities and the Language Laboratory Computer Laboratory provided at UB FISIP environment. FISIP UB provides language laboratory area of 66 m2 and a computer lab area of 66 m2, with a maximum capacity of each is 60 students.


Political Science Laboratory named the Laboratory of Political Science and Engineering Policy (lapora) is an integral part of a competency-based curriculum Political Science Program. Namely as a vehicle for achieving academic qualifications and skills (practice) absolutely needed a student of Political Science. In addition, the Political Science Laboratory is part of the instrument achieving the vision and mission of the Department of Political Science, which is not only an academic mission but also their participation in a transformation or policy changes to improve the quality of life in Indonesia. So the concept of a laboratory owned by the Political Science Program are:

Political Science Laboratory as the main support achievement of the vision, mission, and goals of Political Science Program as a creation of the Forum for academic excellence and transformation (policy reform).

The main activities of the Laboratory of Political Science are: Wahana practicum students to study political research berpendekatan quantitative (using software STATA or SPSS) such as surveys of public opinion, voting behavior, public policy evaluation, behavioral parliament, comparative political process

  1. Simulation rides policymaking
  2. Forum for the qualitative study of politics and policy
  3. Center study Political Science and increased capacity of teaching staff
  4. Mentoring individual student projects

In addition, there are several supporting activities of Political Science Laboratory, among which are:

  1. Publishing (journals, textbooks / texts, working papers)
  2. Training and education politics and policy for the public and public / private
  3. Policy advocacy and policy debate
